The Rolls Royce Sweptail

Presented yesterday during the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, the Rolls Royce Sweptail is the most recent coach-built automobile crafted by the British brand.
Made by order for an undisclosed client only described as "a Luxury Connoisseur with a vast collection of automobiles, air crafts and yachts", this unique vehicle was under development since 2013.
The Sweptail got his name, and design inspiration from the 1920's and 1930's coach built Rolls Royces, resulting in the extraordinary vehicle presented at Vila d'Este: a two-seat coupe with a panoramic roof and the largest grille in a modern Rolls.
The last publicly disclosed bespoke vehicle by Rolls Royce was the Rolls Royce Hyperion in 2008 presented at Pebble Beach, a yacht-inspired one-off reportedly sold for something like 6 million dollars. Now the Sweptail breaks the record and ascends to 13 million USD.

Personally, love the design and as usual with Rolls-Royce, the finishing and materials are absolutely irreprehensible. The only thing I would change is to make it a convertible, but that's because convertibles are my thing ...
Overall a perfect reflection of what coach building was in the automotive world 100 years ago and how it is picking up as a trend once again with one-offs and extremely limited editions by major brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and even boutique manufacturers such as Koenigsegg, W Motors and Bugatti.
