Since I can remember, always had a passion for the finer things in life. Not only that, but I always wanted to pursue a creative path and establish my own label capable of showcasing this - Now here it is!
After more than a year working behind the scenes on this project, and with the situation this year providing endless extra time to dedicate to this idea I finally managed to bring this dream to reality. The MARQUES brand brings together the two cities I call home for years: Dubai and Lisbon. While I have created all designs and even developed the brand aesthetic in the United Arab Emirates, all production is done in Portugal - Where each piece is handmade by skilled craftsmen with decades of experience.
For our debut in Dubai, we decided to bet on a capsule collection with just 12 pieces under the name "Chapter I - Birth of an Empire" - The first chapter of our history as a luxury brand and a manifestation of what's to come in our future. Created to be a versatile collection able to be worn both in the Lisbon AND Dubai Winter, this capsule includes shorts, shirts, jackets, coats, hoodies, pants, and t-shirts.
One of my requirements when creating this brand was to ensure that quality would never be compromised, this is one of the reasons why it took relatively long to find good craftspeople to handmade the pieces and not only this but also to scout our materials. After going through tens of different samples, we decided to keep it simple and select only 3 materials: Leather, silk, and cotton.
While the capsule collection is available online on our website and social media for a limited time, individual bespoke service is also for the most demanding clients who might want to change small details, materials, or even create new pieces from scratch.
Private viewings of our collection are also available in Dubai until January 10th, Lisbon from the 15th of January, and possibly Monte-Carlo with dates to be confirmed soon on Instagram page that you can follow here.
